I picked up a small bag of mixed cereal toys earlier today. They span a variety of series and years. As I sort them I’ll give each series a quick post or update.
These were a bit late for my school days. The Stars of the Big Top Cereal Toys 1974 is a series I had not collected and did not have any in my display.
The 3 pieces are listed in Craigs book as #1. Juggling Clown, #2. Strong Man, and #5 Horse.
Unfortunately the Strong Man is only lifting a broken bar without any ball weights on the ends.
In any case these three are nice pieces to start a collection of this series.
As always Craig Halls’ book, Breakfast barons, Cereal critters and the Rosenhain & Lipmann Legacy, is my reference bible for cereal toys. This series is on page 174.
